Amboseli Safari
Amboseli is a fairly small National Park of 392 square km., originally opened in 1948. It is however, amazingly rich is both flora and fauna. Amboseli is a designated International Bio-sphere Reserve and is the home of a large number of world famous researchers, especially with regard to elephant.
Day 1 – Depart Hemingways at approximately 7am for the 20 minute drive to the airfield for the just over 1 hour private charter flight to Amboseli. Met on arrival at the airstrip and game drive enroute to the Tortillis Camp. Lunch at the camp before a siesta and then an afternoon/early evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 2 – An early morning start for wildlife viewing before returning to the camp for breakfast. Then head out with a picnic lunch for a full day of game driving, only returning to the camp late in the afternoon. Or, if you prefer, do two, shorter game drives with lunch and a siesta time at the camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 3 – Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Then take another game drive to catch the more diurnal creatures before lunch at the camp. Then head to the airstrip for the flight back to Malindi where you are met and returned to Hemingways Hotel.
